- 1st Responder and Veteran’s Wellness and Resource Center. Providing PTSD
and Mental Health Counseling for all 1st Responders and Veterans in our
community.
- ALICE Project – Providing resources and assistance for Asset Limited Income
Constrained Employed (ALICE) individuals in our community.
- United Way invests in the most Effective, Efficient, and Integrated programs in
our community that are focused on measurable outcomes that align with
our Common Community Approach.

Twelve books a year for every child in our community under 5? Sounds impossible. But, with your help, United Way can provide the opportunity for every child from birth until a child’s 5th birthday with a free book each month. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library has been available in Macon County through United Way for 2 years and is currently providing books to nearly 3,000 children.
This program is possible thanks to people like you who decide to Raise Your Hand and make an investment that continues this program as well as many like it.

A Flat Tire or ER Visit Away from a Financial Crisis
Nearly 45% of households in Macon County are ALICE families or living below the poverty line. This means one unexpected expense like we all face, can force them to choose between food and medical bills or even force them onto the streets.
During these difficult times, we can offer support. They are doing all they can do to get by and it’s just not enough. Will you Raise Your Hand and show our community that when things get tough we pull together not apart?
