Director of Finance & Administration
Responsible for preparing and/or recording all transactions of the organization in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Record all donor pledge information and honor donor designations subject to existing laws. Prepare monthly financial statements for the Board of Directors and prepare year end financial statements to be audited and which form the basis for required state and federal governmental filings available to the public. Review agency information for endorsement status requests and review financial information submitted yearly by existing endorsed agencies. Handle most office technology with some assistance from outside IT resource.
Responsible for all financial and accounting programs and procedures; ensuring adherence to United Way’s financial policies; producing internal and external financial reports; record all donor pledge information and honor donor designations subject to existing laws; ensuring that information and technology systems are designed, developed and implemented; provide assistance to other departments with respect to financial issues. Perform human resource functions including managing employee benefits. B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience.
