United Way of Decatur & Mid-Illinois (UWDMI) is proud to invest in 50 of the highest-performing programs in Macon County for the 2018-2020 investment cycle. These selected programs are directly aligned with UWDMI’s Common Community Approach Lines of Effort and they impact the community with measurable outcomes. Together, we will establish a community in which everyone has the opportunity to be self-sufficient.
The programs receiving investment were chosen through an intense, competitive Community Investment Process. UWDMI utilized 35 volunteers including donors, stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and community leaders to review 58 investment proposals. The volunteers used numerous resources to ensure the 22 agencies receiving investment will implement the most effective, efficient, and integrated programs.
In addition to Macon County, three programs in Shelby County, and two programs in Piatt County received investment in 2018. The Community Investment Process in DeWitt and Moultrie Counties took place in 2017. All programs that received investment are listed here.
DeWitt, Moultrie, Shelby, and Piatt County agencies will need to reapply for investment in 2019, while Macon County agencies will reapply for community investment in 2020.
